Where can I get a replacement stone?

We have spare stones that are sold separately. Please reach out to us via our contact form and reference your original order number and we'll get one underway to you.

How does the fire starter actually work?

The firestarter and its porous stone soaks up the oil so that when lit, it the fire stone burns long and slow giving enough time for your logs to catch and the fire to get well underway. You can see the step-by-step process on the blog here.

What oil can I use?

Lamp oil, Kerosene and Citronella oils are the only fuels you should ever use with your Fire Lighter. DO NOT use any other fuel sources.

Where can I get extra oil from?

We sell the highest quality, odorless lamp oil that we can get our hands on in New Zealand, which you can add to checkout on this product page for 2L included with your Fire Starter, or purchase separately on the product page. Please note we are unable to send Lamp Oil outside of New Zealand due to it being a flammable liquid - we apologize for this, however, your local hardware/DIY stores will stock this. Selecting 'Yes please' will include 2L of lamp oil with your Fire Starter.

You'll also find the fire lighter oil in most hardware stores, look for 'odorless lamp oil' in the flammable section. It comes in 1-4ltr bottles usually. Citronella and kerosene also works. DO NOT use any other fuel sources.

Do I keep the fire starter stone in the fire, or remove it once lit?

Once lit, we recommend moving the stone to the side of the fire away from the main source of heat.

We aim for 1-4 working days for delivery within NZ and AUS unless stated otherwise in the product description. 

Refusal of delivery

If you refuse a shipment from Leisure Workshop you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees that may have incurred on the package, as well as the cost of returning your parcel to Leisure Workshop. This amount will be deducted from your refund once the shipment has been received back.

Import Taxes

Leisure Workshop has no control over any customs or import duties that could be levied when the parcel reaches your destination country and for which you will be liable. These customs charges can also cause delays. 

We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes due to the size of our products.
